SR.FRIEGHT EXECUTIVE
We are having a very urgent requirement for the position SR.FREIGHT EXECUTIVE in KUWAIT.
Job responsibilities
1. Follow-up and coordinator with the team members & achieve the task within the stipulated time.
2. Submit the daily report to the Operation Manager.
3. Arrange cargo movements from an overseas destination to Kuwait and vice versa. In this role you could be involved in all modes of transport including air, sea, and road and land freight.
4. Recommend shipping solution to minimize costs.
5. Send inquiry to agents in LTS network.
6. Follow up the status of the shipment with overseas agents.
7. Send quotation to overseas agents on request.
8. Calculate weight, volume, or cost of goods to be moved.
9. Select shipment routes, based on the nature of goods shipped, transit times, or security needs.
10. Determine efficient and cost-effective methods of moving goods from one location to another.
11. Reserve necessary space on ships, aircraft, trains, or trucks.
12. Send Documents and updates to clearance and ministry departments.
13. Coordinates with the accounts for overseas and local payments.
14. Arrange delivery or storage of goods at destination.
15 Arrange for special transport of sensitive cargoes, such as live stock, food, or medical supplies.
16. Complete shipping documentation.
17. Inform clients of factors such as shipping options, timelines, transfers, or regulation affecting shipments.
18. Keep records of goods dispatched or received.
19. Maintain current knowledge of relevant legislation, political situations, or other factors that could affect freight shipping.
20. Monitor or record locations of goods in transit.
21. Obtain or arrange cargo insurance.
22. Pay or arrange for payment of freight or insurance fees or other charges to agents.
23. Prepare invoice or cost quotations for Freight transportation.
24. Recommend or arrange appropriate merchandise, packing methods, according to climate, terrain, weight, the nature of goods, or costs.
25. Verify proper packaging and labeling of exported goods.
26. Provide shipment status notification to exporters, consignees, or insurers.
